Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Support Links

My primary motivation for designing this website was to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault find the help and support they need and want, but might either be afraid to come forward or be unsure of where to find it.  As a survivor, the absolute worst thing you can do is remain silent.  Tell someone you trust and/or contact one of the Support Links listed on this page.  Do not suffer alone in silence.

I also want to assist victims and survivors become informed and educated with the knowledge of where to turn for support and empowerment.

Below are several phone numbers and websites I hope you will find useful.  I will continue to add others as I become aware of them.  Several are located in the Washington, DC area, but others are national.

We all need to become empowered to stop looking over our shoulders into the past, which can be crippling, and look forward to what the future has to offer each one of us. Remember, you do not have to suffer in silence.  You are not alone.
